Kaya Butter Croissant
72-layer French croissant, filled with house-made pandan kaya and a cold slab of salted butter. Breakfast, perfected.
Crumb & Kettle is a small-batch neighbourhood bakery tucked into the art-deco blocks of Tiong Bahru. Slow-fermented sourdough, flaky kaya croissants and pandan chiffon, baked in small batches every morning.
European technique, Singapore flavours. Everything is laminated, shaped and baked by hand in our back kitchen — and when a tray's gone, it's gone.

Our 48-hour loaf: wild starter, stone-milled flour, a crackly blistered crust and an open, custardy crumb.
Cloud-light and fragrant with fresh-pressed pandan and coconut milk. The one your ah ma would approve of.
Caramelised Breton pastry with smoky palm sugar from Melaka. Crisp shell, chewy centre, zero regrets.
Croissant dough rolled into a muffin tin, filled with roasted hojicha cream and dusted with sugar.
Nutty, toasty and deeply savoury — a soft Hokkaido-style milk loaf swirled with roasted black sesame paste.
Crumb & Kettle started with a simple idea: Tiong Bahru deserved a bakery that felt like it belonged here — unhurried, honest, and a little bit nostalgic. So we took the techniques of a European bakehouse and folded in the flavours we grew up with: kaya, pandan, gula melaka, a proper kopi.
Every loaf starts two days before you eat it. Every croissant is laminated by hand. And every morning, the smell of butter drifts out onto the five-foot way before the neighbourhood is fully awake.
48 hours for flavour and easier digestion.
Fresh pandan, cultured butter, no premixes.
Baked in-house, steps from Tiong Bahru Market.
Time your visit to the tray. Or skip the guesswork entirely and pre-order — we'll set yours aside, still warm.
Sourdough shaped two days ago goes into the deck oven.
First croissants and kaya buns hit the counter with the kopi.
Chiffon, cruffins and the weekend kouign-amann arrive.
Sell-out o'clock. Anything left goes to local shelters.
We roast-blend our kopi with a local roaster and brew it the traditional way — through a sock, into a thick kopitiam cup. Or keep it modern with a flat white.
Reserve today's bakes for pickup, or order whole chiffons, loaf bundles and pastry boxes for birthdays, office mornings and festive gifting.
A short stroll from Tiong Bahru MRT and the market. Look for the orange awning and follow your nose.
